We realize that highly-motivated professionals require an atmosphere that is creative and informal. We have worked hard to create a stimulating and professional environment for our staff.

 

We have created a culture in which each individual becomes a well-rounded professional. Each member of our assurance department has the opportunity to work on all types of mandates including audits, review and compilation engagements. More importantly, each person will gain experience in both corporate and personal tax. We believe that it is important for every assurance professional to have an understanding of what tax is all about. Although every individual begins their career in assurance, we understand that he or she may choose to specialize in other areas in the future. At Nexia Friedman, we encourage our staff to explore other areas of expertise and to transfer between departments if one so desires. Staff who are interested in transferring will often first perform a few mandates in the other division so that they can have some practical experience to help them make an informed decision.

 

We believe that communication among our staff members is of the utmost importance. A formal evaluation is held once a year to review your technical and overall work skills. In addition, regularly scheduled informal reviews are held throughout the year in order to provide you with timely feedback on your performance. We recognize that staff at all levels need feedback in order to grow. We are always communicating with our staff to ensure that they are being given the opportunity to work on engagements that will help them in any areas in which they need improvement.

 

Performance reviews and appraisal reporting systems lead to the evaluation of your strengths, areas for improvement, personal growth and training needs. We recognize exceptional performance and reward it accordingly.
